Latest reports coming in reveals that multiple bombs exploded at a small town of Umamari along Maiduguri - Damboa - Biu road Friday Morning. 17 people are feared dead while 7 have been injured in the attack. In recent weeks, the insurgents have resulted to attacking soft targets causing the death of many in Abuja towns of Kuje, Nyanya, Damaturu, Maiduguri and now along Damboa road. This suggest according to security experts that they sect group have lost the capacity to launch attacks on troops and armless civilian towns in heavy miliatarised convoy as seen in the past. It is left to be seen if the Presidential directive to end this war by December will be actualised.
